WHO
IS ANGLOMAN?
He's Quebec's best-known ethnic minority superhero and the star of
a bestselling series of paperback books, weekly comic
strips in the Montreal Mirror and the Montreal Gazette, and (of course) his own superheroic
website! Here you'll find a webcomic archive of some of Angloman's past adventures, plus
never-before-seen character biographies, background information and sketches. Who knows? Now that the web is Angloman's permanent home, you may even stumble across the occasional new adventure!
Barrel-chested champion of bilingualism and tolerance, always well-meaning but thick
as a brick, Angloman is joined by partners in parody Poutinette and West Island
Lad, and a crew of political adventurers sporting familiar faces.

A POLITICALLY CORRECTIVE NOTE
There's nothing worse than explaining a joke, but in hyper-sensitive Quebec (where objects as innocuous as stopsigns have become politically charged), the very name "Angloman" seems to be a red flag. Just to be absolutely clear...
100% affiliation free! With added fibre! Angloman is an extended political cartoon and though the creators obviously have their own (often different) opinions, the strip is absolutely not affiliated with any political movement.
Equal opportunity satirists. Make assumptions about our political and social loyalties at your own peril. Remember, if we don't tick you off at least some of the time, we're not doing our job.
The world is a big place. Angloman has never been solely about Quebec politics. Everyone has felt our wrath at one time or another, from federal politicians to TV psychics to software moguls to Americans. Especially Americans.
Two rights and a wrong. Or is that two wrongs and a right?
There's no nice way to say this, so I won't try. A few otherwise rational people have told us they don't read Angloman because simple use of the word "Anglo" automatically implies we have an extremist, anti-francophone agenda. Others have angrily stopped reading Angloman because they don't find the extremist, anti-francophone agenda they were expecting. Kinda makes you want to shout "Get a &%#@!! clue!" from the nearest rooftop, doesn't it?
THE
